Tax Season 2023

Happy New Year! Thank you for your patronage and loyalty over the years. We pride ourselves in offering quality tax preparation services tailored to your specific needs and look forward to serving you in 2023.

We continue to prioritize your safety and that of our employees during the ongoing pandemic. Like last year, we are planning to conduct most appointments virtually. If you should have specific challenges that make a virtual appointment impossible, please reach out to our office and we will work to safely accommodate your needs as best we can. To provide you with the best experience we ask you to review these helpful tips and reminders.

1. Schedule your appointment as soon as possible using these Time Trade links:

  • Greg Specht

  • Tom Dewey

  • Patrick Higgins

Or contact our office at 610-667-0800

2. Provide your tax documents at least ten days prior to your appointment (if possible) in one of the following methods:

  • Sharefile – upload your tax documents to your account. This is the preferred method for security and efficiency. If you need assistance activating your account, please contact our office.

  • Email:

  • Greg Specht - gspecht@fxcassidy.com

  • Tom Dewey - thomas@fxcassidy.com

  • Patrick Higgins - phiggins@fxcassidy.com

  • Fax: 610-667-9489

  • Mail: FX Cassidy & Associates, 2 Bala Plaza, Suite 716, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004

3. Other Important information and documentation deadlines:

  • All tax preparation appointments must be completed prior to April 8, 2023 in order to meet the tax filing deadline. If there are missing documents at this time, our office can prepare an extension and the return will be completed after the April 15th tax filing deadline when the documents are available.

  • Provide the settlement sheets for any real estate transactions that occurred in 2022.

  • Provide IRS Theft Protection Pin letters. This has affected our ability to e-file tax returns in the past and is helpful to have at the beginning of the appointment.

  • Provide us the estimated Federal, State and Local tax payments you made towards your 2022

  • Provide documentation on any foreign bank accounts to avoid any IRS penalties with these accounts.

  • Provide documentation for the Health Insurance Marketplace and copies of the Form 1095-A.

  • Provide documentation related to cryptocurrency transactions. This is a hot button issue with the IRS.

If you have any questions, call our office at 610-667-0800 www.fxcassidy.com
